This is as close as I have ever been to a golden eagle, and the image shows it. The expression in the eye, the layering of the feathers across the crown and nape, the scale of the beak — details that are lost at a distance come through completely here. Golden eagles carry a presence that is difficult to put into words, and I wanted a photograph that did justice to that. Printed at museum quality on fine art, matte, or semi-glossy paper, the warm brown tones and the intricate feather detail hold at every print size. One of the strongest wildlife photography prints in the collection. Order as a print in three finishes, or as a canvas.
