Red Kites, Suffolk heath

A recent trip over to Suffolk to photograph Red kites, was rewarded with the juvenile in the images bellow, landing and feeding on carrion for a considerable length of time. as a young bird from this years hatch it does not yet have the totally grey head of an adult, it is still mottled grey and will get full adult plumage after it next moults.
